Thank you for considering me to review your book.

I opened Bibliophilia Book Reviews four years ago to share with you my thoughts about the books I am currently reading, my opinions, and book recommendations. I also wanted to help as many self-published/indie authors as I can to get their books out there by reading and reviewing them. This is why I encouraged back then self-published/indie authors to send me an email asking about my availability to review their book. And while I received an amazing response on their part, and keep doing so, I soon realized that I can’t help all of these authors. I would love to, but it wasn’t long before I started to receive more emails in my inbox than I could keep up with. And my reviews for self-published/indie authors stopped. I apologize for that. I still want to help, but the amount of emails I was receiving made me realize that I needed a new system.

And that new system is a wish list.

As of June 2025, I will only receive one book for review per month. This is because I do not want to commit myself to reviewing more books than I can. And every month, I will post a picture of the self-published/indie book that will be reviewed at the end of that month. I will also post a second picture of the book that is next on the queue and which I will be reviewing the following month. To get a book on my waitlist, I ask you kindly to answer a questionnaire that will help me assess if I am the right reviewer for you. I do not think, for example, that I am the best reviewer for Urban Fiction or Science Fiction because I usually don’t like those types of books and don’t read them often enough to be able to give you feedback. So, if your book falls within a genre that I usually don’t read, I will not add it to the waitlist.

Disclaimer. When I write a review, I talk about the things I liked and the things I didn’t like about a book. So, if you ask me for a review, I will provide both positive and negative comments in my post. If you’ve read any of my reviews before, you know that I don’t shy away from saying that I didn’t like a book. And if I couldn’t finish it, I will say that too. So, if this is not what you’re looking for, I am not the book reviewer for you.

The review for your book will be posted separate from my monthly wrap-ups, although I will also include it in the monthly wrap-up of the month in which I read it. If applicable, I will also mention it both in the mid/end of the year Freak-Out Tags that I typically post at the end of June and December every year. The review will also include a link to your website, if you have one. I do not write (copy-paste) the synopsis of your book in my reviews. Reviews in individual posts are usually 750-1000 words long. I am open to reading your books in PDF and Kindle. If you are willing to ship me a physical copy, that is welcome too. But I can read it as a PDF or download it from Kindle Unlimited if available there. Typically, I review a book according to the following system:

New Favorite
I Really Liked It
I Liked It And Will Probably Read It Again
I Liked It But Will Probably Never Read It Again
Okay
I Didn’t Like It
I Didn’t Like It At All

All of these categories are pretty self-explanatory. However if I read the first book in a series and rate it as an Okay book or lower, I will not continue on with the series.

Also, I’m afraid I can no longer do this for free. As of June 2025, I will be charging $100 per review. This will help me pay for domain and hosting fees. Quotes for these reviews will be sent out to you through my company “The End” Book Editors with the email theendbookeditors@gmail.com. This email, however, will only be used for payment. I will communicate with you through bibliophiliabookreviews@gmail.com.

I apologize to those authors who sent me their books before and which I have not reviewed yet. But these will not be on the new waitlist. I am sincerely grateful, however, to those authors whose books I have reviewed hitherto and who have recommended me to their acquaintances, friends, and family. I would not be able to keep doing this without you. And those of you who have sent me an email every now and then just to tell me how much you love my blog, know that you make my day in more ways than I can count and I cannot help but smile. Thank you for your support, and I hope to hear from you again.
